Born in a small town in southern Italy, Eleonora De Furia is an inventive and passionate educator who, aside from simply teaching Italian, aims to communicate Italy’s culture to her students. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Literature from Florence University and a Master’s Degree in Italian Didactics from the University of Siena. She is also certified with DITALS I and II, the Certifications of Competence in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. Italian and History teacher with ten years of working experience in high schools, over the past six years, Eleonora’s experiences have brought her around the world, and, before coming to York in 2019, she taught Italian in Qatar.
